Our lives are a series of beginnings—birth, new love, new jobs, life cycle milestones, discoveries large and small—and, to me, they all feel like the beginning of Genesis: chaos, tohu vavohu; the passage from darkness to light; and mysterious twists and turns that (we hope) lead to clarity and focus.
Text: Genesis 1:1-4
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
2 And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the surface of the deep.
And the Spirit of God brooded over the surface of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light; and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
